glad to see another linux nut. What's your favorite distro ?

I like Zenwalk (based on slack) but i like also Deb and Mint cuz of well configured after installation. My first rule is: It should work! so these distros are perfect. But Ive also tried OpenBSD, FreeBSD, Gentoo and many many others

Never played around with any slack-based distro, I started out with Mepis, which was not my thing, then went to Arch, which opened up my eyes since you have to do everything by yourself and this way - learn, but I settled on Debian, since it's the best all-around distro, plus I used it at work and I'm really familiar with it now.

slack-based distros are fine but too much things to do after installation. Im lazy and for daily work i use noob-distros, but when im going to have fun and learn sth new i mostly prefere higher level distros such as arch, gentoo or sth. But it is true, when configuration of ur linux is done, and its done perfeclty it will be working for years. but.. ive never had distro longest than few mths Always change or screw up sth that i have no patience to fix it
